I had to work today, so I didn't work on any sewing.  I decided to show you some things I've made in the past.  For some reason, I have a great love for pincushions.  And small, handmade animals.  Together they are even more wonderful.  Here are some pincushions I made with mice on them.

This one is probably my favorite.  Miss Mouse has a thimble hat and is holding three heart pins.  She is perched on a wool strawberry pincushion.  She is made from wool as well.  With the height  of the pincushion included, she stands about 6" tall.

This one is standing on a print fabric pincushion and she's holding a spool of thread.  She is made from wool and stands about 5" tall.

This mouse and is made from wool felt.  He is holding some pins.  The pincushion and strawberry are made from flannel.  He stands about 8" tall including the pincushion.

This one isn't a pincushion, it's a fall decoration.  The mouse is wool and he's holding a tin star with a button in the center.  The pumpkin was made from osnaburg fabric and I painted it.  The pumpkin stands on a wooden  candle holder that I painted black, then rolled in cinnamon.  You can't see it in this photo, but there are smudges of cinnamon on it and it smells yummy.  That's some dried moss on the pumpkin's head.  All together it stands about 12" tall.

This last mouse is made from wool and the pincushion from cotton print.  The mouse is holding a string of old mother-of-pearl buttons.  I glued the pincushion to the top of a large textile spool.  It stands about 15" tall.
These pincushions are based on a pattern from Country Stitches.  I just changed sizes and presentation a bit.  So that's my mouse pincushion collection.  I'll have to show you my other pincushion collections as we go on.

On a closing note, this is what the trees in my yard looked like this morning.  It was 2 degrees when I left for work.  BBBbbbbrrrrrrrrRRRR!!

Hope you have a great rest of the week.  Stay warm!
